In October 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago, which included the work SC 12, Chicago by Yasuhiro Ishimoto. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,394.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yasuhiro Ishimoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,477.25).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago durch, in der auch die Arbeit SC 12, Chicago von Yasuhiro Ishimoto zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.394,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yasuhiro Ishimoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.477,25) versteigert wurde.
