Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yasuhiro Ishimoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2014. In the Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago auction, the work Chicago sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,978.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yasuhiro Ishimoto; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Selected Images sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,477.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yasuhiro Ishimoto erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago wurde die Arbeit Chicago für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.978,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yasuhiro Ishimoto; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.477,25).
