Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Standard of Beauty #23; (ii) Standard of Beauty #24; (iii) Standard of Beauty #25 by Yang Mian was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2007. The price achieved of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Mian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Standard, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 51,400.00 (€ 36,148.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (i) Standard of Beauty #23; (ii) Standard of Beauty #24; (iii) Standard of Beauty #25 von Yang Mian kam im Februar 2007 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.977,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Mian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Standard beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 51.400,00 (€ 36.148,81) versteigert wurde.
