Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Beautiful Life - Bedroom Standard 1 by Yang Mian was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,599.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Mian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Standard in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 36,148.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Beautiful Life - Bedroom Standard 1 von Yang Mian im April 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.599,52) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Mian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family Standard im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 36.148,81).
