Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yang Mian could be acquired at Phillips in London in November 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Music auction, the work Dangerous changed hands for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,311.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Mian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Standard, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 51,400.00 (€ 36,148.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Mian konnte im November 2009 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Music wechselte die Arbeit Dangerous für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.311,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Mian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Standard beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 51.400,00 (€ 36.148,81) versteigert wurde.
