This artwork by Yang Jiechang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Thousand Layers Of Ink sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,920.10) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Jiechang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eye Of The Storm in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 338,500.00 (€ 240,394.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Jiechang erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Thousand Layers Of Ink für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.920,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Jiechang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eye Of The Storm im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 338.500,00 (€ 240.394,86).
