In November 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Thousand Layer Ink by Yang Jiechang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,318.71), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Jiechang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eye Of The Storm in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 338,500.00 (€ 240,394.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thousand Layer Ink von Yang Jiechang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.318,71) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Jiechang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eye Of The Storm im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 338.500,00 (€ 240.394,86).
