Despite a disappointment, a good price for Yang Jiechang
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Eye Of The Storm by Yang Jiechang for USD 338,500.00 (€ 240,394.86). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Eye Of The Storm is the most expensive artwork by Yang Jiechang that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Yang Jiechang
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Eye Of The Storm von Yang Jiechang für USD 338.500,00 (€ 240.394,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Eye Of The Storm das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yang Jiechang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
