This artwork by Yang Jiechang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence auction, the work 100 Layers Of Ink sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Jiechang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eye Of The Storm in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 338,500.00 (€ 240,394.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Jiechang erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence wurde die Arbeit 100 Layers Of Ink für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Jiechang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eye Of The Storm im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 338.500,00 (€ 240.394,86).
