The work Untitled (Color Wheel) by Yan Lei was auctioned at Phillips in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 56,767.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Lei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arrival: New York No. 1, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 114,590.75).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Color Wheel) von Yan Lei kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 56.767,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Lei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arrival: New York No. 1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 114.590,75) versteigert wurde.
