Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yan Lei could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work Climbing Space Series (Cantor Arts Center A) changed hands for HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,660.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Lei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arrival: New York No. 1 in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 114,590.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Lei konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Climbing Space Series (Cantor Arts Center A) für HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.660,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Lei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arrival: New York No. 1 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 114.590,75).
