Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Super Lights – Honour in Army by Yan Lei for HKD 37,800.00 (€ 38,601.20). This price was achieved in the auction NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Lei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arrival: New York No. 1, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 114,590.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Super Lights – Honour in Army von Yan Lei für HKD 37.800,00 (€ 38.601,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Lei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arrival: New York No. 1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 114.590,75) versteigert wurde.
