Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Climbing Space Series (Cantor Arts Center A) by Yan Lei for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,146.26). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Lei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arrival: New York No. 1 in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 114,590.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Climbing Space Series (Cantor Arts Center A) von Yan Lei für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.146,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Lei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arrival: New York No. 1 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 114.590,75).
