Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Colour Wheel 1 by Yan Lei was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Macau in January 2016. The price achieved of HKD 708,000.00 (€ 83,924.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Yan Lei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work Arrival: New York No. 1 was auctioned for HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 114,590.75).
