This artwork by Yan Fu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 55,496.56) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Fu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight-Character Couplet In Regular Script, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,150,000.00 (€ 132,906.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Fu erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 55.496,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Fu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eight-Character Couplet In Regular Script beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.150.000,00 (€ 132.906,29) versteigert wurde.
