In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Yan Fu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 38,607.34), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Fu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight-Character Couplet In Regular Script, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,150,000.00 (€ 132,906.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Yan Fu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 38.607,34) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Fu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eight-Character Couplet In Regular Script beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.150.000,00 (€ 132.906,29) versteigert wurde.
