Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yamaguchi Takeo could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Brushwork III – Abstract Masters auction, the work Shū changed hands for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,519.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yamaguchi Takeo konnte im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Brushwork III – Abstract Masters wechselte die Arbeit Shū für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.519,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
