This artwork by Xu Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Fishing Village sold for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,230.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Xi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Xi erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Fishing Village für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.230,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Xi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
