A top price for Xu Xi - as previously expected
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work River Landscape by Xu Xi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, River Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Xu Xi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Landscape von Xu Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist River Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Xu Xi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
