Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Raining In New York by Xu Xi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 44,840.00 (€ 5,125.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 25,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Xi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Raining In New York von Xu Xi wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 44.840,00 (€ 5.125,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Xi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
