Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection, which included the work Rainy Jiangnan, 1985 by Xu Xi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,218.25), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rainy Jiangnan, 1985 von Xu Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.218,25) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
