Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Color Abstracts by Xu Xi. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,438.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Landscape in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 35,507.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Color Abstracts von Xu Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.438,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River Landscape im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 35.507,71).
