Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Orchid, Bamboo and Narcissus by Xu Wei. The price achieved of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,890.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Various Objects in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 3,276,000.00 (€ 364,409.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid, Bamboo and Narcissus von Xu Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.890,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Various Objects im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.276.000,00 (€ 364.409,63).
