Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Xu Shichang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,691.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Shichang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,944.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Xu Shichang kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.691,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Shichang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.944,38).
