Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Quiet Mountain Village / Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Xu Shichang was auctioned at Christies in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,114.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Shichang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,944.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Quiet Mountain Village / Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Xu Shichang kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.114,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Shichang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.944,38).
