Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled No. 4 by Xie Nanxing. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 99,112.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Xie Nanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled No. 4 von Xie Nanxing zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 99.112,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
