The work The First Round With A Whip No. 3 (Also Known As The Wave No. 3) by Xie Nanxing was sold in the 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,750,000.00 (€ 396,403.97), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xie Nanxing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).

Die Arbeit The First Round With A Whip No. 3 (Also Known As The Wave No. 3) von Xie Nanxing wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.750.000,00 (€ 396.403,97) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83) versteigert wurde.
