Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled No. 5 by Xie Nanxing. The price achieved of HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 289,953.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xie Nanxing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled No. 5 von Xie Nanxing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 289.953,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83) versteigert wurde.
