The work Landscape by Xi Gang was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 33,040.00 (€ 3,722.45), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xi Gang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Dong Yuan in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 52,485.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Xi Gang wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 33.040,00 (€ 3.722,45) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xi Gang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 52.485,55).
