The work Landscapes After Ancient Masters by Xi Gang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,064.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xi Gang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Dong Yuan, which sold at auction in May 2005 for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 52,485.55).

Die Arbeit Landscapes After Ancient Masters von Xi Gang kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.064,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Xi Gang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 52.485,55) versteigert wurde.
