Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pine and Rock by Xi Gang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xi Gang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Dong Yuan in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 52,485.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pine and Rock von Xi Gang kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xi Gang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 52.485,55).
