Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xavier Veilhan could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (Naked Woman) changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,077.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xavier Veilhan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sophie no. 1, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,054.58).
