Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellowstone National Park V And Yellowstone National Park Vi (Set Of Two Works) by Wucius Wong was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,974.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wucius Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellowstone National Park V And Yellowstone National Park Vi (Set Of Two Works) von Wucius Wong wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.974,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wucius Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
