Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work VANCOUVER by Wucius Wong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,277.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wucius Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit VANCOUVER von Wucius Wong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.277,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wucius Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
