Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Saturn Return by Winner Jumalon. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 95,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,881.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Winner Jumalon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ricochet, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,886.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saturn Return von Winner Jumalon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 95.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.881,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Winner Jumalon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ricochet beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.886,77) versteigert wurde.
