The work Trading Places by Winner Jumalon was worth HKD 225,000.00 (€ 21,923.43) to a buyer in April 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Winner Jumalon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ricochet sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,886.77).
