Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Vieux Nice by Willy Ronis was sold in the Prints & Photographs auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 1,042.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Ronis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 26,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Vieux Nice von Willy Ronis wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 1.042,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Ronis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.650,00.
