In April this year Bonhams held the auction Classic & Contemporary Photographs, which included the work 'Venice' by Willy Ronis. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,695.65), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willy Ronis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 26,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Venice' von Willy Ronis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.695,65) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy Ronis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.650,00.
