Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,233.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Willy Ronis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 26,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Les Amoureux de la Bastille (Lovers at the Bastille) von Willy Ronis wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.233,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy Ronis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.650,00.
