Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Schooner with Reflection by William Zorach. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,412.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Schooner with Reflection von William Zorach zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.412,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
