The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,982.12), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).

Die Arbeit New Hampshire von William Zorach wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.982,12) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
