The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,020.00 (€ 35,213.23), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Stanley Haseltine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.020,00 (€ 35.213,23) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Stanley Haseltine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rocks at Narragansett im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 445.997,18).
