In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work A Gas Plant sold for USD 16,730.00 (€ 14,411.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Samuel Schwartz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sun Bathers, which sold at auction in November 2001 for USD 47,000.00 (€ 52,467.07).
