Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Off Tarbert by William McTaggart was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,312.50 (€ 7,009.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William McTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).

Die Arbeit Off Tarbert von William McTaggart wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.312,50 (€ 7.009,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William McTaggart erzielen.
