Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Autumn Tints; And Summer Afternoon: A Pair of Works by William Hart. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,699.12). Admittedly, works by William Hart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spring Day on the Hudson in January this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Tints; And Summer Afternoon: A Pair of Works von William Hart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.560,00 (€ 7.699,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Hart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21).
