This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lee-Hankey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Girl in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 84,208.88).
