A top price for William Lee-Hankey - as previously expected

The work The Goose Girl by William Lee-Hankey was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2002. The price achieved of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 84,208.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Goose Girl is the most expensive artwork by William Lee-Hankey that we have observed at auctions so far.
