Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Late Afternoon, Moret by William Lamb Picknell for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,586.03). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Lamb Picknell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Landscape, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 44,650.00 (€ 47,866.64).
