Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Pont Aven by William Lamb Picknell. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,727.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lamb Picknell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Landscape in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 47,866.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pont Aven von William Lamb Picknell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.727,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lamb Picknell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Landscape im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 47.866,64).
