Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Lamb Picknell could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Landscape with barn changed hands for USD 750.00 (€ 671.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lamb Picknell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Landscape in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 47,866.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Lamb Picknell konnte im April 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Landscape with barn für USD 750,00 (€ 671,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lamb Picknell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Landscape im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 47.866,64).
